普贤菩萨：曾译遍吉菩萨，音译为三曼多跋陀罗，中国佛教四大菩萨之一。是象征理德、行德的菩萨，同文殊菩萨的智德、正德相对应，是娑婆世界释迦牟尼佛的右、左胁侍，被称为“华严三圣”。 普贤菩萨是礼德和大行愿的象征，象征真理。他以智导行，以行证智，解行并进，完成求佛者的志愿，所以又称“大行普贤菩萨”。
深圳万世艺术征集到珍稀藏品，经万世艺术资深专家边复初老师鉴定为【 田 黄 普贤 菩 萨 】。图中所示是普贤菩萨坐像。重量为2.3kg。主尊面相圆润，高发髻，头戴鎏金花冠，宝缯自耳际垂下;柳叶弯眉，双目低垂;巨耳垂肩，耳饰耳环;鼻梁挺括，端庄肃穆。菩萨身着袈裟，胸前璎珞珠宝环布;坐像形态温顺，卧于束腰莲座之上。

在《楞严经》里，普贤菩萨自述，已曾与恒河沙如来为法王子。十方诸佛都以普贤为榜样，教菩萨众修普贤行。修普贤行必须先悟毗卢性海，然后才能入普贤行门。 佛问圆通，普贤答说：最初本因，但用耳识，随念分别，能发智慧光明普照群机，得大自在。若于他方，恒沙界外，有一众生，心中发明普贤行者，我普贤即时乘六牙白象，分身千百，至其发心者面前，与之相见，纵然彼因障深，看不见我，我也会暗中为他摩顶，护持安慰，使他所愿成就。
